Its the only real fish and chip shop around for miles. The queue was out the door. Very reasonable too.
Not great. Order a black pudding and got half for the same price as a whole one elsewhere. Never been back since. Chips were good but not great.
Just had Fish & Chips. Not good at all. Terrible batter ( if you can call it that), hardly any fish & that was like rubber too. skinny rubbery chips that were tough. Threw most if them away . Making a decent Fish & Chip isn't rocket science I used to make them. Wn't be rushing bavk
Since under new management this place isn't the same. I use to love this place in the school holidays. Fresh fish and chips near the coast couldn't beat it. Went up for a holiday and the place seemed run down, 2 young women were doing to order so que was out the door. Fish was like blubber and no meat which I couldn't eat. Chips was ok but dark and oily. Some guy popped his head round the door to order a pie and he was spoken to rudely not polite. Also I never got asked if I wanted salt and vinegar but I did get a tut when I asked for a curry sauce at last minute. I did wait a long time
Good fish and chips lovely crispy batter on the fish just the way we like it .
